About The Position

Fidelity’s Asset Management Technology internship offers students paid work experience in Quantitative Development and Data Science Technology within the Asset Management division. The team develops bespoke solutions that help Quantitative Research Analysts, Portfolio Managers, and other investment professionals with financial decision-making. Interns build analytical solutions to improve investment processes, gathering requirements through dialogue, translating ideas into programs, and packaging solutions for investment professionals. They also document completed solutions and consider their future extensibility. The position is available in Boston, Massachusetts; Merrimack, New Hampshire; and Jersey City, New Jersey. The base salary range is $20–$32 per hour, with placement depending on responsibilities and scope, location, relevant experience, and other factors. Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

Be a candidate in the Class of 2029 or a 2028 master’s or bachelor’s degree candidate.
Have demonstrated projects in full-stack software engineering and the ability to use various technologies and tools.
Have an academic or intellectual interest in financial markets.
Have excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and writing skills, including the ability to clearly articulate findings.
Have strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
Have interest in and completed projects leveraging Financial Engineering or Machine Learning concepts.
Have full-stack software engineering experience with a combination of Python, R, SQL, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and C++.
