As a Quantitative Analytics and Model Development Associate within PNC's Balance Sheet Management organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. As part of the Balance Sheet Management team, you will contribute to PNC's capital planning and stress testing efforts (CCAR/DFAST). You will help produce the Pre-Provision Net Revenue (PPNR) projections which are built from a bottom-up process, offering exposure to all of PNC’s business segments, products, and revenue streams. Successful analysts will display the intellectual curiosity and communication skills necessary to partner with line of business (LOB) and corporate treasury stakeholders to better understand PNC’s strategy and economic sensitivity. These detailed insights are distilled into a long-term forecast which is reviewed by senior management and regulators. You will perform a wide variety of quantitative analyses to support this forecast including: Model development and maintenance, Implementation of forecast assumptions into PNC’s cash flow engine (QRM), Creation of streamlined reporting and visualizations that “tell the story” of PNC’s forecast, Historical research to benchmark PNC’s performance vs. industry, peer, and macroeconomic trends, Ad hoc “what if?” analyses to assess the impact of key risks and current market themes. You will use many tools to perform these tasks. Extensive use of Microsoft Excel is expected, and fluency with Python, SQL, Microsoft Power Apps, and even LLM-assisted tools such as Copilot will greatly aid analysts to produce more detailed and efficient analysis. You will have near-daily exposure to QRM (Quantitative Risk Management), which underpins PNC’s net interest income forecast.
