About The Position

This is a hands-on quantitative role in which you design, code, deploy, and operate production strategies that allocate capital onchain. Depending on your background and interests, you will join a vault strategy team working across areas such as lending and credit curation, cross-chain yield aggregation, structured products, real-world assets (RWAs), and other product types. Teams own the full strategy lifecycle, from research and protocol due diligence through strategy design, backtesting, allocation and rebalancing, onchain execution, optimization, and ongoing monitoring. You are accountable for the performance, safety, and uptime of the strategies you own. The role requires production ownership, strong quantitative and software engineering skills, and comfort working in an evolving crypto environment. Strategy owners participate in an on-call rotation because crypto markets operate continuously. The position is remote-first for candidates able to work within the contiguous United States or Canada, with regular in-person company retreats and office visits.

Requirements

  • Track record of building quantitative systems that run in production, such as algorithmic trading, portfolio optimization, market making, or risk systems at a trading firm, asset manager, fintech, or crypto-native company; the posting says this is often 2–8 years of experience, while emphasizing demonstrated work over years on a résumé.
  • Strong Python and solid software-engineering fundamentals, including testing, code review, and building durable abstractions rather than one-off scripts.
  • Applied quantitative skills in optimization, statistics, and simulation, with the ability to validate models against real data.
  • Comfort with data infrastructure, including SQL and experience building or consuming data pipelines.
  • Production ownership experience, including debugging live systems under pressure and understanding the need for correctness, monitoring, and recoverability when managing other people's money.
  • Clear technical communication.
  • Ability and willingness to take end-to-end ownership of research, code, deployment, and on-call responsibilities.
  • Comfort working in ambiguity and in a fast-moving environment where priorities and team structure evolve.
  • Ability to evaluate risk and voice concerns, including recommending against a strategy when analysis supports that conclusion.
  • Ability to balance rigor with client timelines without compromising safety.
  • Curiosity about digital assets and DeFi; deep crypto experience is not required.
  • Ability to work within the contiguous United States or Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on DeFi experience with lending protocols, ERC-4626 vaults, AMMs, or oracle systems, either as a builder or sophisticated user.
  • Solidity or EVM literacy, including reading protocol contracts, forked-chain simulation with anvil, or writing adapters; non-EVM experience such as Solana is also valued.
  • On-chain operational experience with multisig workflows, transaction submission and signing infrastructure, or bridging.
  • TypeScript and familiarity with a modern data stack such as BigQuery, Dagster, Hex, GCP, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience with risk modeling for volatile or thinly traded assets, including VaR, liquidation modeling, or stress testing.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship vault strategies from thesis and design document through implementation, simulation, deployment, and live operation across RWAs, leveraged lending, yield aggregation, cross-protocol allocation, perpetuals, prediction markets, and new product types.
  • Optimize strategies through signals research, execution optimization, gas-aware rebalancing across tokens and chains, and liquidity and duration management.
  • Conduct protocol and asset due diligence, evaluating solvency mechanics, oracle design, redemption paths, liquidity depth, and other factors for protocols, collateral assets, and chains.
  • Own risk parameters, including supply caps, LLTV settings, concentration limits, VaR-based exposure models, and automated de-risking logic.
  • Integrate new protocols and chains by building and validating adapters for lending markets, DEX aggregators, and bridges, and verifying strategy behavior using forked-chain simulation before deploying capital.
  • Monitor strategies in production by extending risk-monitoring and alerting systems, defining paging conditions, and participating in the on-call rotation for owned strategies.
  • Partner with growth, capital markets, and client teams on new vault and strategy launches.

Benefits

  • Remote-first work from anywhere in the United States and Canada.
  • Regular in-person company retreats and cross-country office visits.
  • 100% paid medical, dental, and vision premiums for employees.
  • $1,000 work-from-home stipend.
  • Monthly reimbursement for home internet, phone, and cellular data.
  • Unlimited vacation.
  • 100% paid parental leave for 12 weeks.
  • Fertility benefits.
  • Opportunity for incentive compensation.
