As an ATLO (Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations) Quality Engineer, you will be operating as the Quality Test Engineering on the Orion Manned Space Flight program at Kennedy Space Center, Neil Armstrong Operations and Checkout Facility. As the Quality Test Engineering, you will be responsible for supporting a team performing oversight of all planning, preparation, and execution of all testing related activities for the Orion Spacecraft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline (e.g., systems engineering, computer science, etc.) or equivalent discipline (e.g., math, physics, etc.)
  • Familiar with Quality Engineering processes
  • Root cause analysis and corrective action training or experience
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance
  • US Citizenship required

Nice To Haves

  • NASA customer experience
  • Knowledge of the Orion spacecraft or experience on a production spacecraft program
  • Experience in Design/Test Readiness Reviews
  • Experience with Automation Framework
  • Experience reviewing test plans, test procedures, or technical documents
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective cross-functional relationships and an ability to work and lead in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Ongoing collaboration with engineering and testing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Design and implementation methods and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
  • Participation in audits of the quality systems for deficient identification and correction.
  • Ensure that correct measures meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.
  • Oversight of test plans, test procedures, and schematics for system and subsystem level mechanical and electrical tests on the Orion Spacecraft and test articles.
  • Understand the Orion Spacecraft assembly, integration, and test flow and the associated processes including test execution, anomaly resolution, and paper closure.
