About The Position

Centria, a division of Nucor Corporation, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Quality Technician. The Quality Technician is responsible for providing production quality checks, checking incoming material quality of steel, plastics, chemicals, and other items as needed. This role involves reading and understanding part prints and measuring accordingly, as well as understanding and checking measurement instruments (e.g., daily/weekly/monthly/annual check standards and calibrations). The technician will also operate power equipment such as band saws and handheld drills, and perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Must be safety conscious.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Lifting of panels are required.

  • Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
