About The Position

This role is for a Quality Technician in San Antonio, TX. The organization works with partner companies to source qualified talent for their open roles. This position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. Unless specifically stated otherwise, this role is "On-Site" at the location detailed in the job post.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment
Flexibility to work 2-week rotating schedule 7:00am - 7:00pm.
Factory environment with large range in temperature changes
Standing, walking, & Bending/Stooping up to 12 hours daily
Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily
Lifting weights up to 50 lbs. Regularly
Push/Pull up to 12 hours daily
Travel less than 10%
MDA testing clearance.
Dependability/Attendance
Detail oriented
Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001
Basic math
Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required
Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read drawings, instructions or repair and assembly operation

Responsibilities

Understanding of quality concepts in a manufacturing environment
Hands-on experience with inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, and similar equipment
Inspect, reject or accept product according to visual standard, weight, tally and other Q.C. requirements
Documentation and recordkeeping
Control the removal of monogram from non-conforming product
Wear appropriate PPE
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines and procedures
Other duties as assigned
