The Quality Technician will be responsible for inspecting mechanical parts fabricated internally and externally, as well as incoming raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. This role involves monitoring for specification compliance, inspecting electrical components, and assisting in troubleshooting non-compliant items. The technician will manage inspection-related documentation, record inspection results, and interpret mechanical drawings. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a "floor presence" as an auditor of quality, regularly reviewing work instructions and production records, and working closely with production and manufacturing personnel. The position requires participation in training activities, support for quality projects, and the ability to make critical decisions regarding product quality, including pausing production lines when necessary. The role also involves compiling and distributing weekly quality metrics data. Alternate shift work is expected, with availability for either a staggered shift (10:00 am – 6:30 pm) or a late shift (2:00 pm – 10:30 pm).
