About The Position

Quality Technician PM shift Job Description Pre Requisites: 1. High school diploma or GED equivalency 2. Read, write and speak English 3. Past experience / proven ability 4. Certified Quality Technician or Equivalent Experience 5. Be able to follow written verbal instructions 6. Must be able to read/understand basic math, blueprints, and SPC 7. Be able to read measuring instruments such as micrometers, etc. 8. Must be able to perform the duties of an inspector 9. Complete Internal Auditor Training 10. Certified Mechanical Inspector or Equivalent Experience 11. Must be proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point, and e-mail 12. Supervisory skills desirable Specific Duties: (Included but are not limited to) 1. Generate, prepare and issue reports using proper form and summarization in MS Excel and Power Point a. Purpose b. Date c. Analysis d. Conclusion 2. Program and operate a CMM 3. Inspect all Erie products for quality, appearance and finish 4. Be able to follow and understand work instructions 5. Be able to follow and understand drawings and prints 6. Legibly complete and maintain records as instructed or per quality documentation 7. Recommend ways to improve quality, workmanship, methods of production, etc. 8. Configure and use Infinity computer files as needed 9. Back up all inspector positions as required (may require shift work) 10. Follow work instructions to complete special metrology requests. 11. Use statistical methods as required 12. Perform incoming inspections and work with outside suppliers for purchased items as required 13. Follow work instructions to maintain and update calibration system, document control system, quality control plans and internal audit system as required 14. Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping 15. Be safety conscious at all times 16. Assist in writing or revising work instructions as required Authorities: (Included but are not limited to) 1. Initiate action to prevent occurrences of any nonconforming product or quality systems. 2. Identify and record problems relating to product, process and quality system. 3. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels. 4. Prevent nonconforming product from being shipped to customers. 5. Verify the implementation of solutions.
