About The Position

The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that parts meet customer and company standards. This role requires a strong understanding of quality assurance methods, manufacturing processes, and relevant software. The technician will perform various quality inspection checks, maintain equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This position involves working with different materials and collaborating with teams to ensure smooth operations and product quality.

  • Strong understanding of CNC programming, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and quality inspection processes.
  • CMM Operation (Manual and DCC machines, CMM Manager software).
  • Knowledge of GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
  • Knowledge of CMM software.
  • Ability to mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, and fixtures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality inspection checks including 1st piece, hourly, final, and last piece inspections.
  • Manage non-conforming product by implementing hold tags and documenting issues.
  • Conduct Gauge Calibration and Gage R&R studies.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.
  • Ensure continuity between work shifts by documenting and communicating actions and needs.
  • Support daily quality and production deliverables and initiatives.
  • Lead teams for continuous improvement efforts (5S, internal audits, organizational knowledge).
  • Document testing and root cause analysis for internal or external problems.
  • Create Work Instructions and provide feedback on manufacturing issues.
  • Review Manufacturing issues with QM/ME and contribute to solutions.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by taking ownership of new requests and adding value to job accomplishments.
  • Follow quality standards to ensure parts meet customer and company standards.
  • Operate CMM machines using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Provide input for new gage/fixture designs relative to GD&T and CMM measurement accessibility.
  • Work in a team atmosphere to ensure a smooth flow across all operations.
