About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Testing and dispositioning manufactured products as well as raw materials using a variety of analytical techniques Calibrating analytical instrumentation and other laboratory equipment Helping R&D teams by carrying out and evaluating new test methods Reporting quality data and collaborating with teams onsite to act on the data Willingness to work a rotating schedule that includes overnight shifts

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Three (3) years of combined experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, or manufacturing facility in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
  • Provide education and work history, either by uploading a resume or entering the information into the application fields directly.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise equivalent to an associate degree or higher in chemistry, physics, biology, or related fields
  • One year of experience in a quality control laboratory setting, preferably in manufacturing at an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949-certified facility
  • Experience with chromatography, molecular spectroscopy, and titrations
  • Experience in systems for the reporting and analysis of data in laboratory settings
  • Experience with the Microsoft 365 software platform, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams

Responsibilities

  • Testing and dispositioning manufactured products as well as raw materials using a variety of analytical techniques
  • Calibrating analytical instrumentation and other laboratory equipment
  • Helping R&D teams by carrying out and evaluating new test methods
  • Reporting quality data and collaborating with teams onsite to act on the data
  • Willingness to work a rotating schedule that includes overnight shifts
  • Comply with corporate policies, procedures and security standards while performing assigned duties.
  • Contribute to a strong Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) culture by following safety policies, identifying hazards, and engaging in continuous improvement.
