This position provides quality assurance support and leads root cause problem-solving activities to improve internal and external quality levels, supporting overall customer satisfaction of our products. It involves leading problem-solving activities for both product and manufacturing processes, with assistance from Quality Engineer. The role performs process validations, in-process inspections, and monitoring, analyzing the quality of manufacturing processes and products. It also provides support to design, manufacturing, and quality engineering functions for data collection, analysis, product review, and process capabilities. The technician will understand, adhere to, and develop processes compliant with the Quality Management Systems (QMS) objectives, as well as train other personnel to adhere to QMS standards. Additionally, the role performs internal ISO standard audits and provides audit support in designated areas, and prepares formal documented FAI reports suitable for customer or internal use as required. The technician will determine and use appropriate measuring tools and equipment to verify dimensional and functional requirements and effectively communicate with appropriate areas as needed (Operations, Supply, Manufacturing Engineering, Design, Quality, Customer Service, Production Planning, Logistics, etc.). The role also leads and/or assists in supporting the activities that maintain the calibration status of inspection, test, and measurement equipment. Other related duties as assigned.
