About The Position

Performs quality inspections and audits in accordance with quality assurance program guidelines to prevent or eliminate defects in new or existing products. This role involves collecting and maintaining quality-related data, completing hourly inspections, inspecting incoming materials, and assisting production lines as a Quality Assurance resource. The technician will also be responsible for reporting quality issues, maintaining records, and ensuring a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work under pressure and follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately.
Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Good understanding of ruler, calipers and thickness gauge.

Nice To Haves

Prior quality experience in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to train in FSC220000, Six Sigma and/or Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Collects and maintains quality-related data to identify trends and conditions that may negatively impact product quality.
Completes hourly inspections of product being produced on the line.
Performs inspection of incoming material and works with personnel to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot quality-related concerns.
Performs thorough inspection of all material prior to machine start-up and between changeovers.
Assists the production lines as the Quality Assurance resource for all issues pertaining to product quality.
Reports quality issues to management.
Maintains all quality records and documentation.
Reports on, documents, and reviews product and material in the quality assurance hold area.
Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Makes recommendations to stop production based on quality or maintenance issues.
Continually checks product and process to ensure all specified requirements are met.
Assists in production line set up and during changeovers as needed.
Provides feedback to other line workers regarding Quality issues.
Strives for continuous improvements in the production process.
