The Quality Technician will maintain a positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal. This role involves utilizing the NCR process and 8D approach to build quality into processes, including internally auditing daily work activities to identify non-conformances, initiating and managing NCRs, and escalating advanced problems to QA Engineers. The technician will measure the cost of poor quality, manage external complaints and RGAs, and transfer corrective actions to FMEA critical controls. They will ensure associates are trained and practicing proper operating procedures, identify opportunities to build quality into products and processes, and liaise with engineering, production, safety, and vendors to ensure product compliance. The role also involves driving improvements to reduce the cost of poor quality, assisting in the development of documented SOPs, delivering training for quality improvements, and controlling feedback from audits.
