About The Position

OMAX Waterjet is seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their team in Kent, Washington. This role involves performing inspections, audits, gauge use/calibration, and troubleshooting activities. Requirements

  • 18 years or older
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated competence in the use of quality procedures, measurement systems, and print reading
  • Accurate and well-organized work, good documentation, attention to detail, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively when relaying technical information
  • Desire and drive to obtain ASQ quality certifications
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • CMM/PCDMIS programming/troubleshooting experience is heavily preferred
  • CQT or CQI Certification
  • Proficiency with interpreting standards (Y14.5M)
  • Ability to train and mentor others
  • Gagetrak
  • Minitab
  • Solidworks
  • 6-sigma/Lean certifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform activities such as measurement, inspection, gauge tracking, calibrations, audits, and troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively to internal customers
  • Understand and apply basic quality tools (5Why, Pareto Analysis, Check Sheets, etc.)
  • Perform tasks using basic skills in mathematics, metrology, calibration, and quality
  • Provide support to other Associates in gauge/instrument use, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Be an active part of continuous improvement activities such as kaizen, 3P, and other lean events
  • Perform tasks following the control of non-conforming material process
