Requirements

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as current technology software

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Formal training or demonstrated proficiency with Blueprint reading, including GD&T methodology

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with industry best practices outlined in MIL-STD-120 and AIAG MSA, preferred.
  • Demonstrated application of Statistical Process Control methodology (SPC), or process capability, yield, productivity (lean) measurement tools.
  • Preference given to candidates with ability to program Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM); or experienced in the use of optical comparator, hardness gage, height gages, micrometers, sine bars, thread gages, advanced optical, visual, or laser-based measurement systems.
  • Prefer ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Third party certification, such as CCT, CQE, CQT preferred
  • Resume detailing education, certifications, work history and relevant position specific experience

Responsibilities

  • Return Material Authorization (RMA) Processing: Complete check-in process (documenting shipment details, condition of material and CRM receipt), Communicate discrepancies to appropriate team, coordinate resolution, and drive timely closure of return, Perform inspection, determine disposition, complete MRP transactions, and prepare for movement, Physically move material to designated area based on disposition (Scrap/Rework/Return to Stock)
  • Change Management Administration: Lead bi-weekly Enterprise Change Notice (ECN) and Manufacturing Change Notice (MCN) meetings, Collaborate with project leads to create detailed ECN implementation timing and execution plans, Create, coordinate, track and report MCN status within the site Operations and Engineering teams, Validate completion of site MCN activities and identify and escalate aging tasks as needed
  • Nonconforming Material (NCM) Processing: Receive nonconforming material, evaluate against Allegion/Customer requirements, and disposition, Transact and move material based on disposition (Scrap/Rework/Return to Stock), Generate reports to communicate the outcome of the NCM process to the manufacturing teams, Assist the Quality Team with problem solving and formal root cause investigations regarding scrap
  • Quality Assurance: Perform product and system audits in all areas as required by internal and industry (ISO:9001) standards, Create and control quality documents (Work Instructions, Quality Alerts, etc.), Lead or support product sort based on internal or external customer request, Accurately record, investigate, interpret, and effectively communicate inspection, test, and quality data, Apply problem-solving skills (Pareto, 5Why, etc.) to support improvements in internal metrics
  • General Duties: Maintain workspace organization and cleanliness per Quality Department 5S standard, Perform periodic safety inspections of assigned tools, equipment, and workspace, Provide active support in cross functional events to ensure quality presence, Determine work priorities and effectively manage workload to meet deadlines, Complete all assigned training (Safety, Quality, Operational Excellence) by given deadline
