About The Position

An Assembly Quality Technician is a vital manufacturing role responsible for ensuring products meet exact engineering, safety, and quality standards by identifying, documenting, and resolving production and component defects. They act as the bridge between production lines and quality engineering.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years’ experience within a quality support role.
  • Experience within the Automotive, Industrial, Manufacturing, and/or Supply Chain/Logistics Industries is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience as a quality technician or related role preferred.
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate quality-related issues.
  • Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
  • Must have experience using a warehouse management system.
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Must have a high level of motivation.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability and strong strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

  • Systematically inspect assemblies, sub-assemblies, and finished products to spot visual, mechanical, or functional defects. Flag, quarantine, and log non-conforming parts to prevent them from moving downstream.
  • Monitor workstation processes and operator work instructions to ensure assembly lines adhere to Work Instructions Procedures.
  • Guide the production team in deciding whether a defective part should be scrapped, repaired, or deemed acceptable for use.
  • Photograph and report operations management non-conformance.
  • Train assembler employees on quality defects and findings.
