About The Position

The Quality Technician will be responsible for understanding quality concepts in a manufacturing environment, performing inspections, and ensuring product acceptance according to quality control requirements. This role involves documentation, handling non-conforming product, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Three years of verifiable work experience, preferred in manufacturing environment.
Flexibility to work a 2-week rotating schedule from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
Ability to work in a factory environment with large temperature changes.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend/stoop up to 12 hours daily.
Ability to perform repetitive movements (shoveling/sweeping/fastening) up to 12 hours daily.
Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs.
Ability to push/pull up to 12 hours daily.
Travel less than 10%.
MDA testing clearance.
Dependability/Attendance.
Detail oriented.
Trained into API Q1 and ISO 9001.
Basic math skills.
Ability to accurately use scales, OD tape, ruler, thread height gauge.
Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties as required.
Ability to learn technical repair and assembly guidelines and procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to read drawings, instructions, or repair and assembly operations.

Responsibilities

Understand quality concepts in a manufacturing environment.
Perform inspections using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thread gauges.
Inspect, reject, or accept product according to visual standards, weight, tally, and other QC requirements.
Document and maintain records.
Control the removal of monograms from non-conforming product.
Wear appropriate PPE.
Comply with all NOV Company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Comply with all HSE policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Comply with all Quality policies, guidelines, and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
