You will be responsible for managing supplier quality as it relates to daily production. This includes the investigation of suspect material, ensuring the proper processing of rejected material, including the administration of SCAR (Supplier Corrective Action Request), RMA’s, Scrap, etc. This includes daily checks of the multiple reject areas, ensuring suspect parts are tagged appropriately, then working with Materials to have that materials moved physically and systematically to the reject area.

Requirements

  • 3 years of relevant work experience in a quality related field.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to drive cohesion and collaboration among many different people & functions
  • Confidence, presence, and credibility to command the respect of colleagues and senior stakeholders, especially within operational departments
  • Adaptable / Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances
  • Organizational skills, with ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and MRP system

Responsibilities

  • Act as the specific subject matter expert (SME) and owner of the documented process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accuracy and the overall process.
  • Work closely with the operations manager to identify, report and solve problems.
  • Optimize and organize reject quarantine area based on point of use and volume.
  • Drive “Plan for Every Part” transformation and mentality as it relates to suspect material and it’s proper handling.
  • Communicate clear instructions to team members.
  • Create and maintain hourly/daily/weekly/monthly metrics and report daily on the same.
