About The Position

Stecker Machine is hiring a CMM Quality Technician to support quality control in its CNC machining operations. The technician operates coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), performs inspections, manages gauges, and helps ensure that parts and production processes meet customer-specific requirements. The role works closely with production operators to keep processes in control and production running to specification. Pay is based on experience.

Requirements

Ability to operate CMMs and understand how part orientation affects CMM reports.
Ability to interpret basic points and correlate them with CMM reports.
Ability to manage and track gauges.
Ability to perform verification inspections on First Article parts against customer-specific requirements.
Ability to ensure quality documentation is completed and inspect parts and raw materials for defects.
Customer-focused, hardworking, dependable, and able to work as part of a quality team alongside production operators.
Willingness to learn a large range of parts and keep pace with changing parts and personnel.

Responsibilities

Operate CMMs and understand how part orientation affects CMM reports.
Interpret basic measurement points and correlate them with CMM reports.
Manage gauges, including tracking their location and assembling and signing them in and out.
Perform range quality tasks as needed.
Perform verification inspections on First Article parts to ensure compliance with customer-specific requirements.
Ensure machine operators complete quality documentation.
Inspect parts and raw materials for material defects.
Assist in finding the point of control when defective parts are discovered.
Work with production to make adjustments and keep production running within specification.
Perform other duties as requested by the Quality Supervisor.
