About The Position

As a Quality Technician at Bayport Laboratories, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our cosmetic products. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Technician or in a similar quality control role, preferably in the cosmetic industry.
  • Knowledge of cosmetic production processes and quality control procedures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and testing.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address quality issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in using quality control equipment and software.
  • Experience in inspections and quality systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Possess leadership skills and ability to be led in a manner that is healthy to our positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Emphasizes personal and professional growth and keeps knowledge and skills current.
  • Must rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Associate Degree in Arts, Science, or Applied Science
  • 2 years of related work experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct visual inspections and detailed examinations of cosmetic products at various stages of production to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Perform product testing and analysis, including but not limited to pH testing, viscosity measurement, texture analysis, and microbiological testing.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and inspection reports. Document any deviations and take corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure that all cosmetic products meet regulatory requirements, including FDA guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Identify and document non-conforming products or processes. Collaborate with the production team to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collect product samples for testing and analysis. Ensure proper sample handling and storage.
  • Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality control teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Assist in the training of production staff on quality control procedures and quality standards.
