Requirements

  • Ability to read Technical / Blueprints / Engineering / GD&T drawings, Specifications, or Work Instructions.
  • Proficient with inspection tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, scales, surface tester, thread gauges, bore gauges, microscope, gauge pins, blocks, and feeler gauges.
  • Basic understanding of quality systems, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving tools (e.g., 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA, SPC).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Basic understanding of quality control principles.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office, databases, and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Familiar with ERP/MRP systems and quality software tools.
  • Knowledge of inspection methods (incoming, in‑process, final inspection).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and inspect products throughout shift.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move materials, equipment or parts weighing up to 1 – 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • Experience in manufacturing and food processing equipment, or industrial machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections on materials and products.
  • Assist in root cause investigations and support corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming material.
  • Partner with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to resolve and prevent quality issues.
  • Conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Verify that products meet company, customer, and regulatory standards / specifications.
  • Record Inspection results accurately in logs, forms, or digital systems.
  • Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to supervisors or engineering teams.
  • Evaluate and process returned goods (RMA) and document findings.
  • Support SPC data collection and trend analysis.
  • Maintain calibration status of inspection and test equipment.
  • Promote quality awareness and continuous improvement on the shop floor.
