About The Position

The Quality Technician is the primary quality assurance floor contact responsible for ensuring quality procedures are followed and product conformance meets customer expectations. This role involves eliminating waste in factory areas, diagnosing root causes of waste, compiling reports, and creating "One Point Lessons" with quality engineers. The technician will maintain records in production control systems and perform other duties as required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
2 years minimum working experience in related field
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Nokian Tyres will not provide visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in technical field preferred, equivalent experience substitute
Experience with Lean Principles preferred
Experience with Oracle preferred

Responsibilities

Ensure quality procedures are being followed and product (compound, component and tire) conformance and quality standards meets customer expectations
Eliminate waste in all 3 factory areas – mixing, components and finishing
Diagnose and analyze root cause of waste (scrap, Ahvalli, wasted time etc.) in all 3 factory areas
Compile necessary reports for the immediate supervisor and factory personnel
Compile “One Point Lessons” along with quality engineers for operators to learn from
Maintain all necessary records in the working documentation/enter data in computer-aided production control systems in accordance with the Company’s internal procedures
All other duties as required
