About The Position

Cibes|Symmetry is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our growing Quality Team in Roanoke. In this hands-on manufacturing role, you’ll work closely with production leaders, supervisors, and engineers to identify quality concerns, solve problems, and ensure our residential elevators and accessibility products meet established quality standards. If you have experience with mechanical or electrical assembly, understand manufacturing processes, and enjoy finding solutions, we’d like to hear from you.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, specifications, and work orders
  • Knowledge of fabrication and welding processes
  • Experience using common hand and inspection tools, including calipers, tape measures, levels, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing manufacturing needs
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of electrical or mechanical assembly experience within a manufacturing quality environment
  • Technical certification in inspection, auditing, engineering, quality, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Inspect fabricated parts, subassemblies, completed assemblies, electronic systems, support structures, and other components
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections to verify products meet specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, work orders, and technical reports
  • Use calipers, measuring devices, hand tools, testing equipment, and other inspection tools
  • Meet with production leaders to identify and address product-quality concerns
  • Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and help develop corrective actions
  • Recommend adjustments, repairs, or part replacements when products do not meet specifications
  • Track and report quality metrics, including Cost of Quality measurements
  • Partner with production leaders, supervisors, and engineers to resolve manufacturing concerns
  • Lead or participate in quality-improvement and structured problem-solving activities
  • Support quality-related training and employee cross-training
  • Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness concerns
  • Safely operate specialized tooling and lifting devices
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
