About The Position

The Quality Inspector will support the Site operations in performing product inspections throughout the facility by ensuring all customer requirements are sufficient throughout the production lifecycle.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Associates Degree a plus
  • 1 or more years’ experience in a manufacturing or printing environment
  • Corrective action and internal audit experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Inspect product and data collection for various processes (machines) based on intervals set forth by quality procedures.
  • Report inspection findings (good vs bad) in the form of data entry, paper forms and email correspondence.
  • Perform first article inspection (Display Check) and crate inspection report using Word and Excel.
  • Able to read and interpret Job Tickets and Manufacturing Plans.
  • Able to conduct testing based on documented procedures.
  • Perform incoming inspection against material specs to determine product compliance.
  • Assist Quality Supervisor with determining root cause for customer complaints during the investigation process.
  • Follow organizations safety guidelines.
  • Check to make sure tools and equipment required to run a job are in place and being utilized, as well as within the calibration cycle.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality checklists.
  • Perform accurate counts (inventory, samples).
  • Day to day positive interaction with operators and supervisors, as well as various levels of management.
  • Effectively communicate and proactively address any product or process issues with operators/supervision, and follow up on corrections.
  • Assist the organization during ISO and other 3rd party audits by answering to auditor questions.
  • Assist the organization with performing vendor sign offs (local vendors only).
  • Recommend changes in SOP’s, production standards, and other actions that will improve operations based on floor experience.
  • Ability to train others.
  • Willing to self-teach, or attend workshops and seminars to obtain Quality Certifications to be able to advance.
