About The Position

High Level Statement of the Role: The Quality Technician is responsible for providing quality support for team. Roles and Responsibilities:  ·        Data collection, analysis, and communication of in-house and supplier quality data.·        Identification and communication of nonconforming product.·        Assist with problem solving on recurring issues using effective problem solving techniques (i.e. Pareto analysis, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Statistics, Experiments, FMEA's, etc.).·        Assist with inspection, measuring, and test equipment requirements for all processes in their area of responsibility.·        Provide inspection, sampling and process control requirements.·        Document general quality information and specifications.·        Auditing product or processes.·        Clarify and communicating product specifications.·        Be the central source of quality information and quality-related input. ·        Provide for training as necessary with regard to quality, inspection, and so on where the quality department has the expertise.·        Perform incoming and in-process inspection and testing when required.·        Participate in and drive corrective actions. Leads problem solving or corrective action activities. Analyzes FPY data and works with team to eliminate failures. Works with Area Manager and Process Engineer to develop team members Identify and measure local performance measurements in support of our Business Plan. Role models the Vision and Guiding Principles and Corporate Goals of Kimball International. Support safety and environmental efforts to better serve our employees and community. Support our Quality Policy. Support our Environmental Management System (EMS) Works with team to improve performance metrics. Owner of OOBA (Out of Box audit) process daily. Provides feedback to teams on OOBA results daily. Parts inspection and verification.
