About The Position

C-P Flexible Packaging is hiring a Quality Technician for the Day Shift. The base schedule is 1st shift, but the role requires covering 12-hour shifts as needed, including weekend availability. This position is responsible for monitoring and ensuring food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process, adhering to recipe guidelines, and ensuring employees follow safety practices. The technician will also collect product samples, perform inspections, identify and correct non-conformances, and work with operations to drive continuous improvement. Accurate and timely documentation is crucial.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
  • Prior experience in food environment a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
  • Monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
  • Ensuring the correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
  • Ensuring employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
  • Ensuring and educating employees on quality expectations.
  • Collecting product samples for the Quality lab.
  • Performing inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
  • Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
  • Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
