About The Position

The Quality Technician conducts policies, procedures, and audits to ensure products comply with quality standards. The role supports manufacturing through inspections and audits, completes customer-required inspection documentation, operates machinery safely, and maintains 6S standards at workstations. The position requires working in uncontrolled environmental conditions and may involve shifts of 8–10 hours and overtime as required by the work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a machine and/or fabrication shop.
• At least 1–2 years of prior quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong blueprint-reading skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Intermediate math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
• Mechanical inclination.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Record-keeping skills.
• Record of attendance.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to function in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and a height gage.
• Ability to work shifts of up to 8–10 hours and overtime as required.
• Ability to use all limbs and maintain dexterous, steady use of hands and arms for long periods.
• Ability to coordinate mental and muscular activity simultaneously and maintain visual and audio awareness of the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

• Conduct first-piece inspections to support manufacturing.
• Conduct random in-process inspection audits on the shop floor.
• Prepare inspection reports when required by customers.
• Conduct first-article and PPAP inspections when required by customers.
• Operate machinery safely.
• Maintain 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards at all workstations.
• Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
