The Applications Engineering team drives forward the company’s mission by designing solutions around, installing and supporting Standard Bot’s innovative 6 axis robot. What You’ll Do: We’re looking for a detailed, customer focused engineer who is excited about robotics and automation. As an Associate Quality Technician, you will work with other experienced engineers on a highly functioning team to ensure Standard Bots products meet our high standard of quality and maintain our ability to meet customer satisfaction goals.

Requirements

  • You have a strong technical background, including 2+ years working in complex environments or relevant educational experience in automation including basic electrical, programming and mechanical
  • You are excited by new domains and challenges, and eager to pick up new context to accelerate your impact
  • You excel in written and verbal communication and enjoy leveraging your skills to support your peers
  • You relentlessly seek user impact and value execution over technical idealism
  • You prioritize simplicity, reliability, and velocity and proactively identify opportunities to improve proposed implementations or incumbent systems
  • You excel in dynamic and ambitious environments, working with a diverse group of individuals and backgrounds

Responsibilities

  • Assist with testing Standard Bot’s ever expanding software suite to ensure excellent product quality
  • Design and implement test fixtures to aid in automated testing including basic DC wiring, solid model design and basic programming
  • Review feature specifications for customer usability
  • Assist with the design of new test cases as new features are added to ensure product functionality in complex environments
  • 5 days per week to be in the office in Glen Cove, NY
