About The Position

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join their team. This role is crucial in ensuring the "Food Product Safety" and "Product Quality" of the products to meet customer expectations. The technician will follow all safety and quality procedures, observe operations for a safe environment, and understand GMP requirements for handling food-grade products. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2-4 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine correspondences to both internal and external contacts.
  • Ability to speak effectively with coworkers of all departments within the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
  • Ability to use Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality background in measurement techniques and analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Follows all Safety and Quality procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
  • Ensures the compliance of “Food Product Safety” & “Product Quality” of the product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
  • Knows common practices associated with the proper handling of food grade products per GMP requirements.
  • Performs daily quality control inspections, checks, functional tests, documents and disseminates results.
  • Reviews production schedule and creates batch documentation and labels.
  • Reviews and approves completed documentation including “Positive Release”.
  • Completes “First Good Article” approval in a timely manner.
  • Verifies “Line Clearance” activities.
  • Escalates issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Works with plant personnel to assist in measurements.
  • As needed, performs Gage R&R’s and Qualification studies.
  • Interacts with production personnel to ensure quality checks, packaging, documentation requirements and the quality system is clearly understood.
  • Effectively performs Event Based Investigations (EBI) and Hold for Inspection (HFI).
  • Provides detailed daily quality download.
  • Writes, trains and follows procedures.
  • Maintains the work area in an organized and professional manner.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.700 Subpart H.
