Requirements

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.

  • FAA inspection experience
  • Aerospace Quality Inspection experience

Responsibilities

  • Conducts complex quality analyses and inspections.
  • Inspect items before shipment.
  • Determine airworthiness and acceptability to specifications.
  • Oversees testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure reliability of products.
  • Complete FAA paperwork accurately and timely to assist in on-time delivery to customers.
  • Assist customer service with customer concerns with FAA paperwork and procedures.
  • Assist in new programs relative to meeting FAA/ODA requirements throughout the company.
  • Work with Return Goods department on FAA issues and determining status of returned parts.
  • Assist Quality with corrective action analysis, PFMEA support.
  • Assist the FAA ODA group in multiple locations across Collins Aerospace.
  • Assist maintaining the FAA ODA manual and any other paperwork pertaining to the ODA group.
  • Participate in yearly FAA audit and assist in conducting internal FAA audit.
  • Support in new programs throughout the company that could impact the FAA group.
