About The Position

C-P Flexible Packaging is now hiring for a 3rd shift Quality Technician. This role is responsible for monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes, ensuring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process. The technician will maintain accurate documentation, ensure recipe guidelines are met, and oversee employee adherence to food safety and worker safety practices. They will also educate employees on quality expectations, collect product samples, and perform inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy according to customer specifications. This role involves identifying and correcting non-conformances in real-time, working directly with operations on various machinery, and ensuring timely and accurate paperwork completion. The duties are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of cGMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
Prior experience in food environment a plus.
Flexible availability: we work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
Monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Correct documentation and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
Ensuring correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
Ensuring employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
Ensuring and educating employees on quality expectations.
Collecting product samples for the Quality lab.
Performing inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy of the print according to customer specifications.
Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected “real time” when feasible.
Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
