About The Position

C-P Flexible Packaging is seeking a Quality Technician for the night shift, working from 7pm to 7am on a 2/2/3 rotation. This role starts at $22.50/hour with an additional $1.25/hour shift differential. The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring critical control points, ensuring product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process, and maintaining accurate documentation. This position involves working directly with operations to identify areas for improvement and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office package software is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must be able to work in a team environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, and in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment.
Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and be able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

Nice To Haves

1-2 years’ experience in printing, food, or regulated industry with knowledge of GMP’s (21CFR 110/111/210/211).
Self-motivated with proven leadership skills.
Prior experience in food environment a plus.
Flexible availability: we work night and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

Monitoring and identifying critical control points (CCP) within the processes.
Monitoring processes and product food safety and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Correctly documenting and filing all relevant record logs and documentation.
Ensuring correct recipe guidelines for products are met during processing.
Ensuring employees are following all Food Safety and worker safety practices.
Educating employees on quality expectations.
Collecting product samples for the Quality lab.
Performing inspections on in-process printing to ensure quality and accuracy according to customer specifications.
Identifying non-conformances and ensuring they are corrected "real time" when feasible.
Working directly with Operations on the presses, slitter, lamination, etc. to identify areas for continuous improvement.
Ensuring paperwork is accurate and filled out in a timely manner on the production lines.
