Requirements

Assure quality control procedures are being applied to all aspects of the product from start to finish.
Improve and maintain current quality control system.

Responsibilities

Obtain samples as required by control plan. This may include working with: destruct operator; Quality Engineers; Production Supervision.
Perform all weld cut-ups as required on control plans for all products.
Complete all records pertaining to weld cut ups as required.
Immediate response to correct parties of any and all nonconformance’s.
Will be cross trained to help as back up for fixture crib; and Dock Audit.
Other duties as assigned by L&W Management.
Must have knowledge in handling/processing steel rejections along with applicable supplier contact as per procedure.
Basic Skills in LMI Datamyte data collection. Use of collecting units, downloading of data to central database, and comprehension of collected data.
Gage crib systems comprehension with applicability.
Abilities to train in LMI data collection based upon proper use of hand held data collectors.
Basic skills in statistical chart creation. Ref. Pie charts, histograms, bar charts, etc.
Assist in basic “metrology” needs specific to the Quality lab. Ref. Capability study participation, entry-level plate layout, etc.
Performs audits of processes and product, LPA audits, dock audits as required
