Requirements

  • Assure quality control procedures are being applied to all aspects of the product from start to finish.
  • Improve and maintain current quality control system.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain samples as required by control plan. This may include working with: destruct operator; Quality Engineers; Production Supervision.
  • Perform all weld cut-ups as required on control plans for all products.
  • Complete all records pertaining to weld cut ups as required.
  • Immediate response to correct parties of any and all nonconformance’s.
  • Will be cross trained to help as back up for fixture crib; and Dock Audit.
  • Other duties as assigned by L&W Management.
  • Must have knowledge in handling/processing steel rejections along with applicable supplier contact as per procedure.
  • Basic Skills in LMI Datamyte data collection. Use of collecting units, downloading of data to central database, and comprehension of collected data.
  • Gage crib systems comprehension with applicability.
  • Abilities to train in LMI data collection based upon proper use of hand held data collectors.
  • Basic skills in statistical chart creation. Ref. Pie charts, histograms, bar charts, etc.
  • Assist in basic “metrology” needs specific to the Quality lab. Ref. Capability study participation, entry-level plate layout, etc.
  • Performs audits of processes and product, LPA audits, dock audits as required
