About The Position

A Quality Technician in the Receiving and Inspection (R&I) Department performs daily inspections of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), excipients, film, and various packaging materials to ensure the materials being received are produced in accordance with company methodology, procedures, and standards. R&I Quality Technicians are also responsible for documentation review to ensure compliance with material specifications. The candidate must not be allergic to Penicillin or Cephalosporin drugs.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
Good writing and verbal communication skills, and problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to work in a team environment and make independent decisions based on procedural and regulatory requirements.
Complete understanding of cGMPs and GDP procedures.
The candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
20/30 vision in at least one eye with or without corrective lenses.
The candidate must be able to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment with minimal direct supervision.

Strong computer/software literacy, preferred experience with material inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

Completes sampling and inspection of all API and excipients used in the formulation of finished product in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
Completes sampling and inspection of all printed direction inserts, Labels, Cartons, and other various packaging materials used in Round Lake Drug Delivery.
Releases materials for production after quality inspections and/or tests are completed and acceptable.
Uses small hand tools and various measuring and testing devices in performing quality tests.
Completes data entries in GME and Labvantage for materials.
Completes required weekly cleaning in the Non-Cephalosporin clean room.
Packages samples to be sent to external testing labs.
Will work in Non-Cephalosporin, Cephalosporin, and Penicillin facilities as needed.
