About The Position

At Medtronic Boulder, we are seeking a Quality Technician to join our Incoming Inspection team and help ensure the highest standards of product quality and patient safety. In this role, you will inspect and verify incoming raw materials and components that support the manufacture of advanced surgical devices used in hospitals worldwide. By ensuring supplier-provided materials meet established specifications and quality requirements, you will play a key role in delivering reliable electrosurgical technologies that positively impact patients every day. Requirements

  • Requires 3+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
  • Requires complete and broad knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical Degree or certification
  • Ability to read and understand drawing/print requirements
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and inventory management
  • History of using measurement equipment (i.e. Calipers, Tappi Charts, Pin Gauges, Rulers, Micrometers, etc.)
  • Flexible working environment, as this position will likely support the Colorado Campus sites and work with project related tasks

Responsibilities

  • Performs analyses, inspection, and tests of raw materials, packaging materials, quantitative assays on samples, and/or finished products from manufacturing, to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements, and tolerance specifications for the chemical or physical property.
  • Performs a variety of qualitative tests or qualitative assays on samples, and to aid in maintenance and certification of test instruments and apparatuses to ensure compliance.
  • Performs required inspections, checks, analysis and documentation of studies.
  • Prepares and monitors quality statistics and reports.
  • Reviews production records for conformance to procedures.
  • Conducts non-conformance tests of manufactured, packaged or tested product.
