About The Position

The Quality Technician II plays a key role in supporting and advancing the plant’s quality management system. This position focuses on data analysis, process improvement, training, food safety support, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure customer requirements and quality objectives are met.

Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • follow directions and complete assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • maintain logs and records in a legible, accurate, and timely manner
  • accurately use a ruler and perform basic mathematical functions
  • demonstrate the desire, ability, and initiative to advance through progression
  • maintain high standards of professionalism when working with others
  • have or are willing to obtain forklift certification

Responsibilities

  • Conduct process capability studies as required
  • Analyze customer feedback for trends and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Train plant personnel on the quality system
  • Maintain customer property
  • Prepare and document Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and Certificates of Conformance (COCs)
  • Assist the food safety team and support food safety initiatives
  • Assist in the development of quality action plans
  • Assist in establishing and monitoring plant quality objectives
  • Ensure quality management system processes are established, implemented, and maintained
  • Ensure customer feedback is completed on time with root cause identified and corrective actions implemented
  • Achieve and maintain Blue Belt certification
  • Analyze SPC data, customer feedback, in-house rejections, and process capability data for trends and improvement
  • Maintain document control processes
  • Gather data and report on customer satisfaction for the plant
  • Act as the ISO representative for the plant and support ISO certification and recertification efforts
  • Assist in managing supplier quality issues
  • Facilitate corrective action and continuous improvement teams
  • Actively participate in quality activities, including regional staff and review meetings
  • Work overtime as required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance
