IGT is seeking a hands-on Quality Technician II to support our Supply Chain Quality team in ensuring materials and components meet engineering specifications and quality standards. This role focuses on investigating nonconforming material, performing inspections and component-level diagnostics, and driving issues through disposition and resolution. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and suppliers to uphold the quality standards our customers expect as our products are built and shipped worldwide.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent; associates degree is preferred.
  • 2+ years in a Manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years in a Quality Assurance environment.
  • 2+ years providing electronic technician support.
  • Basic and fundamental knowledge in electronics.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaborate across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work in a very high demand and high output environment with extreme efficiency.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to safely work with hand tools and energized electrical components.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using electronics bench equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, analog meters, and soldering tools.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with SAP, Enovia, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to read and verify product against engineering blueprints, specifications, and electronic schematics.

Responsibilities

  • Perform component-level diagnostics and electrical/mechanical testing.
  • Review and investigate nonconforming material from all Operations areas, including global subsidiaries.
  • Conduct inspections of material built to specifications, including dimensional, cosmetic/functional, and bill of material checks.
  • Complete minor repairs as needed, including basic rework to restore material to specification.
  • Verify and document material discrepancies and nonconformances, communicating findings to appropriate personnel and management.
  • Drive cross-functional resolution and disposition of nonconforming material, coordinating actions across IGT locations globally.
  • Process rejected/nonconforming material transactions from production lines and warehouses.
  • Track supplier-related parts issues and analyze quality data to support long-term process, policy, and procedure improvements.
