Donaldson is looking for a Quality Technician to support our Life Science vertical, serving Bioprocessing/Biopharma, Medical Devices, Food & Beverage, Microelectronics and Automotive in our Bloomington manufacturing facility. Your role will include support for currently commercialized product as well as new product development. This position will primarily perform quality inspection of incoming material and at various stages in the manufacturing process. It will also provide support on nonconforming material investigation and assist with test activities throughout the product life cycle based on applicable international standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949). Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Bloomington, MN facility.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or one plus years of experience in a manufacturing environment, directly involved with quality.
  • Working experience with measuring tools and equipment used to perform inspection activities, whether through previous roles, training, or school.

  • Knowledge and hands‑on experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, statistical process control, testing, or similar quality systems and tools

Responsibilities

  • Complete material performance testing (e.g. Airflow, Water Entry Pressure, filter efficiency, etc.) for raw materials, membranes and laminates.
  • Perform resolution activities for nonconforming parts (including returns) which include inspecting incoming parts, writing reports that indicate defects found, conducting meetings, monitoring hold activity, logs, MRB areas, etc.
  • Performs timely and accurate record keeping, including recording test results in Infinity QS and/or special test logs; completing inventory transactions; and maintaining nonconforming records.
  • Support internal product audits as well as quality management system audits along with follow up activities related to findings.
  • Sample preparation and test submission for internal and external customers.
  • Preliminary data analysis for engineering tests, production data, etc.
  • Support generation of Certificates of Analysis.
  • Participate on teams as a quality resource for areas such as QS/ISO 9001 ISO13485, cGMP, IATF16949, statistical process control, testing, etc.
