About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Quality Technician Assistant - Daylight to join our team in Middlesex, NC! This is a daylight position that will work 4 10-hour shifts from 6 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday. The hourly rate for this position is $20.64 per hour. The Quality Technician Assistant's primary job function is quality control, requiring the ability to ensure specifications, and ensuring quantity and quality of orders are met. They work under moderate supervision and perform lab tests according to written procedures, annotate results, and perform final quality/paperwork checks.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of quality experience in a manufacturing site.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing site.
  • 1+ year of experience working in aerospace manufacturing.
  • Ability to use and read calipers, micrometers, gages, tapes, rulers, and other instruments.
  • Ability to perform tasks to written procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform stress, environmental and other tests per laboratory procedures.
  • Ensure PC Testing is completed and up to date.
  • Maintain inspection and testing records, database.
  • Have an excellent working relationship with Engineering to ensure successful troubleshooting practices.
  • Receive incoming materials (components, hose and other raw material) according to prints, specifications, quality procedures, and purchase orders. Verify identity and count of items.
  • Review paperwork, and certifications for finished products as needed.
  • Process packing slips, invoice packaging, load/unload freight and handle freight claims.
  • Perform hose sample assembly according to assembly instructions.
  • Operate various machines required to assemble hose fittings to hose.
  • Maintain inspection and testing records.
  • Maintain required parts inventory for making hose samples.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Meet quality requirements established for assembled hose products.
  • Accurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, document and report inspections findings & results, etc.).
  • Complete Quality Reporting assignments such as completing certifications, manufacturing support, PPAP, auditing and corrective actions.
  • Participate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, Kaizen events, etc.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S and TPM practices.
  • Follow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Model the Eaton ethical conduct policy, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.
