About The Position

The Boeing Company's Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division is seeking an Experienced or Senior Quality Systems Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to join their Federal Aviation Liaison team. This role, based in Everett, WA or North Charleston, SC, operates on a 1st shift. The Federal Aviation Liaison team is responsible for regulatory and compliance activities. The selected candidate will serve as a key contact point, communicating with Programs/Business Units and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on various complex Quality Management System (QMS) related topics and issues. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with regulatory agencies (DCMA, FAA, and/or Military)
  • 3+ years of experience in applying verbal and written communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, form and style, proof reading and editing skills.
  • 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Products like Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in collecting, interpreting data, and leading high level projects for management.
  • 3+ years of experience in the airline industry.
  • 3+ years of Boeing Problem Solving Model.
  • 3+ years of experience with QMS
  • Demonstrated high level of dependability, interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, decision-making, collaboration, and problem solving.
  • Customer focused ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a change agent for RQSO FAA Liaison to facilitate project management and execution.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, and/or Smartsheet).
  • Experienced with Microsoft 365 (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to analyze data from various sources to support data-driven decision making.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations at all levels of the organization (downward, lateral, and upward).
  • Proficient in navigating and interpreting Boeing's Quality Management System.
  • Skilled in navigating and interpreting technical and regulatory guidance and documentation.
  • Ability to manage processes owned by the Regulatory Compliance Oversight swim lane, including managing improvements and changes, coordinating with primary stakeholders, and defining architecture.
  • Interprets and organizes complex information from multiple sources and develop a written response that stays in sync with formatting requirements and is professional and understandable.
  • Guides stakeholders through analysis of data and processes necessary to perform a robust Root Cause Corrective Action.
  • Supports FAA audits (as needed), both in-person and through the use of remote technology, which includes the tracking and resolution of any issues discovered during the audit and subsequent formal written correspondence.
  • Monitors and analyzes data streams for potential compliance disclosures.
