As a Quality Systems Specialist, you'll oversee and enhance our Quality Management System, ensuring processes, documentation, and compliance activities support operational excellence across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for quality systems administration, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum two (2) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
Experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
Experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEAs
Experience performing capability studies and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems to manage documentation, analyze data, and support quality and compliance initiatives.
Ability to communicate quality requirements clearly, build strong cross-functional relationships, and influence positive change across the organization.
Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to interpret data, identify trends, evaluate processes, and recommend practical solutions that support quality and business objectives.

Nice To Haves

Five (5) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
Experience in steel or other rolled metal products
Six-sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience
Automotive or appliance supply chains experience
Experience leading internal audit programs required; Lead Auditor certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
Manage quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and document control processes.
Coordinate corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality-related projects, tracking progress and driving timely resolution.
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, update, and standardize quality processes, policies, and documentation across the organization.
Lead quality planning activities, including APQP, PPAP submissions, Control Plans, and FMEA maintenance to support customer and business requirements.
Compile, analyze, and report quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing recommendations to support data-driven decision making.
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation, documentation, follow-up activities, and maintenance of audit records.
Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
