As a Quality Systems Specialist, you'll oversee and enhance our Quality Management System, ensuring processes, documentation, and compliance activities support operational excellence across the organization. This role serves as a key resource for quality systems administration, continuous improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality standards
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, Control Plans, and FMEAs
  • Experience performing capability studies and Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and quality management systems to manage documentation, analyze data, and support quality and compliance initiatives.
  • Ability to communicate quality requirements clearly, build strong cross-functional relationships, and influence positive change across the organization.
  • Strong documentation, recordkeeping, and organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, evaluate processes, and recommend practical solutions that support quality and business objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years of experience working within a manufacturing environment utilizing a certified quality management system
  • Experience in steel or other rolled metal products
  • Six-sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing knowledge and experience
  • Automotive or appliance supply chains experience
  • Experience leading internal audit programs required; Lead Auditor certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and internal quality standards.
  • Manage quality system documentation, including procedures, work instructions, forms, records, and document control processes.
  • Coordinate corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, and quality-related projects, tracking progress and driving timely resolution.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop, update, and standardize quality processes, policies, and documentation across the organization.
  • Lead quality planning activities, including APQP, PPAP submissions, Control Plans, and FMEA maintenance to support customer and business requirements.
  • Compile, analyze, and report quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing recommendations to support data-driven decision making.
  • Support internal, customer, and third-party audits, including preparation, documentation, follow-up activities, and maintenance of audit records.
  • Other job-related duties and special projects as assigned.
