About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced or Senior Quality System Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to support the Core Quality team in Oklahoma City, OK. This role involves developing and maintaining the Oklahoma City Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers Quality Management System, leading process councils, preparing and presenting quality metrics, promoting continuous improvement, and coordinating AS9100 audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, and related business, regulatory, and customer requirements. This position operates on a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, subject to business needs.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g. Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)).
  • 3+ years of Root Cause and Corrective Action experience.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

  • Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience working multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).
  • Possess the ability to work on and lead special projects to enhance the Quality Management System across multi functional, multi platform processes and functional.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed.
  • Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of problems.
  • Participates with stakeholders to develop potential preventive or corrective actions and implementation.
  • Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics, to continuously improve process capability.
  • Conducts hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and reports results to management.
  • Develops Quality budget and cost estimates (Level 4).
  • Leads multi-function, multi-site groups to develop company directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are deployed (Level 4).
  • Leads stakeholders in analysis of process data, metrics, models and flows to identify root cause of complex problems and development and implementation of preventive or corrective actions (Level 4).
  • Develops Quality criteria for supplier source selection and a coordinated response for review and approval by senior management (Level 4).
  • Develops scope, schedule, plans and leads hardware, software and system level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements, and reports results to management (Level 4).
  • Trains senior management on preparation for third party audits (Level 4).
