About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating and communicating YF OS, IATF, and Customer Specific Requirements (CSRs), and leading plant-functional teams to ensure compliance. The position involves developing processes to implement, achieve, and maintain YF iOS/IATF 16949, and maintaining local documents to uphold compliance with Global, Regional Quality System requirements, IATF 16949, Customer Specific Requirements, and other regulatory requirements. The Quality Systems Engineer will provide awareness to all levels of the plant team regarding changes and/or updates to YF iOS, IATF16949, and/or Customer Specific Requirements. A key responsibility is developing and maintaining a schedule for all YF iOS internal, IATF16949, and other external party audits, with the objective of identifying gaps and supporting corrective/preventive actions. Additional responsibilities include supporting training and working in different plant departments, providing coaching on YF iOS, IATF 16949, and other requirements. The role supports the prevention of non-conformity issues, coordinating the resolution process and response on-time using Problem Solving Tools if non-conformities are detected during an audit. The engineer will also coordinate Management Reviews with the Plant Manager, support with data, and follow up on open issues. This position requires being a role model in adhering to YF iOS, IATF, and Customer Requirements, performing job functions in accordance with set policies and procedures to ensure the preservation of the Company Quality Policy, and supporting the comprehensive continuous improvement philosophy for all Yanfeng disciplines. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's Level Degree in Quality, Engineering or similar. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.
3-5 Minimum Years of Experience as Quality Engineer.
1-3 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry.
Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
Must be organized and able to communicate well with others.
Must be able to perform each essential duty, satisfactorily.
Working knowledge and demonstrated competence of IATF16949.
VDA 6.3 Certification or willingness to obtain VDA 6.3 certification.

Nice To Haves

IATF 16949 training on internal auditing.
Certified Internal YF iOS auditor. If not, must be obtained within 1 year.
Core quality tools knowledge (e.g., PPAP, APQP, VDA, etc.).
Customer Specific Requirements knowledge.
Problem Solving Methodology (8D, PDCA, DMAIC, Kaizen, etc.), including root cause analysis tools (e.g., 3-Legged 5-Whys, Ishikawa, KT Is/Is Not, etc).
Training Skills.
MS Office proficiency.
Power QMS
Excellent performance (detailed, accurate, efficient, organized, ability to plan, motivated, committed, flexible, assertive and developmental), communication (verbal, written, listening) and interpersonal (relationship building, teamwork, conflict resolution, customer orientation) skills.

Responsibilities

Support the prevention of any non-conformity issues, and if any non-conformity is detected during an audit, coordinate the resolution process and response on-time using Problem Solving Tools to achieve sustainability of actions.
Coordinate Management Reviews with the Plant Manager, support with data, and follow-up of open issues, as required.
Be a role model in the adherence of YF iOS, IATF and Customer Requirements.
