About The Position

AA TECH offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits package, including: Variable Incentive Plan (Bonus Eligibility) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance with HSA Company Contribution 401k Plan with Employer Match Tuition Reimbursement 11 Paid Holidays Vacation Accrual Position Summary: Responsible for general team guidance, leadership and performance of a quality team performing a variety of simple to complex operations and inspection procedures involving liquid penetrant inspection (FPI) and Radiography (X-Ray) operations, as well as additional quality inspections and verifications based on business needs. Additionally, this candidate will be required to understand all related NDT tasks pertaining to Penetrant Inspection (PT) and Radiographic Inspection (RT).

Requirements

Two or more years of relevant supervisory, quality and/or manufacturing experience
Familiarity with Nondestructive Test Processes
Knowledge of formal problem-solving techniques such as 5-why, PDCA, Fishbone Diagrams, etc.
Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, procedures, specifications and instructions
Excellent communication across 3 shifts
Proficient MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Working knowledge of SAE AS9100 -Quality Managements Systems

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s Degree in a Business or Technical Field
Active or former NDT technician or supervisor
Working knowledge of Nadcap as it pertains to NDT, Visual Inspection and Chemical Processing
Working knowledge of Power Bi, NSI and GE inspection equipment
Strong data collection and analysis capability (i.e. Capacity Utilization, Cycle Time, Equipment Effectiveness, etc.)

Responsibilities

Manage a highly skilled goal-oriented team of approximately 20-30 direct reports across 3 shifts.
Provide support in a team environment through strong value-based leadership and a proactive safety mindset.
Collaborate with AA TECH Value Streams and NDT Level 3’s to set priorities to maximize overall business and quality objectives.
Lead formal problem-solving efforts by employing tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, PDCA etc.
Maintain and report on KPI’s and work with Quality Leadership to develop improvement strategies as needed.
Leverage data to identify and execute improvement opportunities that better serve AA TECH and our customers
Support and participate in internal and 3rd party audits (i.e. AS9100, Nadcap, GE, FAA, etc.)
