We are currently looking for a Quality Specialist to perform physical testing on fabric to ensure it meets all established quality criteria. A great Quality Tech is reliable and able to work with attention to detail and safety standards. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers. The goal will be to ensure that manufacturing production procedures will be carried on smoothly to maximize efficiency and profits and provide continual growth to our associates.

Requirements

  • College degree in Quality, Quality Engineering, Chemistry, Manufacturing Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a Quality department.
  • Capable of performing all quality work tasks with the ability to train others on those tasks.
  • Must possess strong math skills and the ability to read a tape measure.
  • Must be organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain a cooperative and respectful attitude.
  • Flexibility required in available work hours, shifts and OT.
  • Must have the capability of interacting with associates both within and outside the Quality department.
  • Must be a team player with the ability to work independently and make decisions within the scope of the position.
  • Excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in-process testing and visual examination, incoming vinyl inspection, and incoming finished goods testing.
  • Incoming vinyl inspection process, including the testing, disposition and release, data entry and filing.
  • Enter all test data results into the ERP system.
  • Evaluation and disposition of quality test results.
  • Perform any additional testing, as required.
  • Perform the daily Quality Audits in the production areas.
  • Perform various clerical duties including audits, compiling data, research of certifications, job paperwork, pull retain folders, computer work, scanning and filing etc.
  • Collect, perform testing, and prepare samples for outside testing.
  • Participate in quality projects and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct internal calibrations
  • Adhere to all Quality Department policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive working relationships and daily contact with other team members.
  • Perform housekeeping and cleaning tasks throughout the shift and during any downtime.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.
