About The Position

The Quality Specialist will provide technical and data analytic support for completed trucks sold through CLARK Material Handling North America from both US production and Imported products. This position will support the manufacture, assembly, test, and inspection of our Products. This position is accountable for performing specific work related to quality, part analysis, and eliminating field complaints. The incumbent will have opportunities where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. This position will also develop and implement quality control guidelines and procedures to ensure that finished goods comply with engineering and customer product specifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or quality related field preferred but not required.
  • Experience or class using NX CAD preferred but not required.
  • Involvement in clubs, activities, hobbies and internships demonstrating mechanical aptitude or prior related product work experience with material handling equipment preferred
  • Basic mechanical understanding of fork truck design or automotive design and operation preferred.
  • Knowledge of Korean, Vietnamese, Indian or Chinese Languages preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the manufacture, assembly, test, and inspection of our Products.
  • Perform specific work related to quality, part analysis, and eliminating field complaints.
  • Develop and implement quality control guidelines and procedures to ensure that finished goods comply with engineering and customer product specifications.
  • Track and analyze quality performance of various suppliers and processes.
  • Work through design reworks, corrective/preventative actions.
  • Compile quality metrics for monthly reporting and management reviews.
  • Work with production in addressing quality questions/problems, providing recommendations and establishing/monitoring corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and perform internal audits per established schedule to evaluate our quality system compliance.
  • Evaluate manufacturing problems, product problems, and field complaints to determine opportunities for improving manufacturing, product performance and field service.
  • Analyze data to identify and permanently implement corrective actions to eliminate root cause(s).
  • Publish weekly and monthly Key Performance Indicator Reports.
  • Complete data analytics on warranty data to identify warranty reduction products.
  • Support Current Product Engineering as it relates to reducing warranty issues on imported products.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and analyze fit / tolerance of solid models in NX CAD software.
  • Layout/inspect parts and assemblies to identify root cause of problems.
  • Develop and generate prints for inspection gages.
  • Learn Polyworks Inspection software and generate analytics.
  • Use standard measuring and test equipment including torque wrenches, micrometers, multi-meters, calipers, durometers, thread gauges, hardness testers, verniers, coordinate measuring equipment.
  • Document and record issues found on other Clark factory trucks and parts.
  • Keep thorough records of costs and expenses relating to the CMHC rework of all Clark products.
  • Submit chargebacks for rework costs of imported products.
  • Apply problem solving techniques and cross functional activities to resolve significant problems.
  • Participate in the development of quality strategic planning, defining or developing – cost of quality, future role of quality, measuring quality, etc.
  • Work with dealers and customers in quality related disciplines such as root cause analysis, continuous improvement, corrective/preventive actions and problem solving.
