About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Specialist to execute precision measurement activities. In this role, you will be responsible for programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), executing first article inspections, and ensuring all manufactured parts meet strict geometric tolerances. You will also play a key role in continuous improvement by assisting production with setup measurements, calibrating equipment, and training team members on the shop floor.

Requirements

• Proven experience in CMM programming.
• Strong capability to read blueprints and thoroughly understand and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Proficient in the proper use of precision measuring equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Solid foundational machine math skills.
• Basic computer literacy and technology skills for data entry and software operation.
• Must be willing and able to complete the internal Quality Special Training course and associated classes.
• Must successfully pass three pre-employment assessments: Math Test, Inspection and Measurement Test, and Print Reading Test.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and run precision programs on Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect complex components.
• Perform 1st article inspections, process capability studies, and routine shop floor inspections to ensure customer specifications are met.
• Calibrate precision measuring instruments and tools to maintain laboratory and production accuracy.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team by assisting production personnel with setup measurements.
• Maintain meticulous, accurate quality control records, inspection data, and compliance logs.
