About The Position

A Quality Technician is responsible for inspecting and/or testing products before, during, and after the manufacturing or procurement process to ensure that products conform to engineering specifications.

Requirements

  • High School Degree
  • Read blueprints and material or product specifications
  • Solve problems with rudimentary mathematical computation and geometry skills
  • MS Windows and MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Knowledge of electronic and manual inspection tools and equipment – skills assessment administered
  • Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance) – skills assessment administered
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before customers or suppliers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Nice To Haves

  • 1-year related work experience or related training or education
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) software such as SAP

Responsibilities

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of products using tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify compliance with blueprints and specifications.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of inspection results, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reports, in paper or electronic formats.
  • Identify, document, and segregate defective material and products, initiate NCRs.
  • Perform data entry and data monitoring in QA SysAid and SAP.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.
