This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. As part of a hardworking team of Quality specialists, you will support internal health assessments, support continuous improvement efforts, maintain actionable metrics to drive sustainable improvement, monitor and report on manufacturing performing, support the development of control plans and first article inspections, provide preliminary reviews for nonconformance support, initiate and perform stock recalls, as well as managing material review areas and support work order closure reviews for various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of the manufacturing and launch of New Glenn hardware. Requirements

  • Quality inspection and/or specialist experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management System and/or related quality systems and programs
  • Ability to support manufacturing schedules for B-Shift operations throughout the week
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Aerospace, space launch, military or commercial aviation experience
  • Relevant experience in a start-up environment, transitioning a product from development, through production to operations
  • Relevant experience in AS9145, Advance Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process
  • Quality performance measurement analysis capabilities (SPC)
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
