About The Position

Velosity Forest Lake is seeking a Quality Specialist II to provide support for handling nonconforming material, CAPA requests and reports, and for preparing certificates of conformance and associated order quality related documentation. This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location, with a shift of Monday-Friday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; effective business correspondence and reporting.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and business operating systems.
  • Knowledge of accepted quality systems; working knowledge of Microsoft Office and IQMS or similar system.
  • Ability to perform daily tasks safely and to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and prioritize multiple tasks to work effectively with customers, vendors and other departments.
  • Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or foreign national granted refugee or asylee status.

Nice To Haves

  • Three-five years of experience in quality with minimum of two years in plastic injection molding or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Work cooperatively with all employees.
  • Create and review Certification of Conformance (CoC) documentation and associated quality documentation. Maintain and update Product Certification Requirement QMS document.
  • Initiate MRBs and ensure containment for suspect products.
  • Coordinate MRB work orders for Rework and Sort Dispositions, including inspection verification and labor entry into Quality System.
  • Initiate corrective actions and complete effectiveness verifications for product related concerns associated with complaints.
  • Prepare reports based on Quality System database information for the MRB process. Coordinate periodic reviews based on the reports.
  • Backup to create and update SPC files.
  • Coordinate source inspection, as requested.
  • Make recommendations for continual improvement of documentation systems.
  • Perform configuration audits and present results to management.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
